Lincolnshire offers more variety than its reputation as a coastal-resort county suggests — the Lincolnshire Wolds inland give a genuinely different, quieter alternative to the well-known coastal towns.

Coast vs Wolds

Lincolnshire’s coastal towns (Skegness, Mablethorpe and others) are long-established, busy holiday destinations with plenty of family attractions nearby, while the Wolds — an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — offer rolling countryside and a quieter hot tub break further inland, including around Woodhall Spa.

Booking around the coast’s peak weeks

Lincolnshire’s coastal parks see the same summer peak as everywhere else in the UK, but inland Wolds locations often have better availability and value outside the main school holidays.

What to check

As always with hot tub bookings, confirm the tub is private to your lodge, ask about heating lead times before arrival, and check what’s within a reasonable drive if you want to combine the stay with visiting the coast.
