St Ives is one of Cornwall’s best-known coastal towns, and lodges in the surrounding area benefit from its beaches, art scene and strong year-round visitor appeal — which keeps demand, and prices, high.

Proximity vs price

Lodges directly in St Ives itself are limited and expensive; many buyers instead look at parks a short drive out along the north Cornwall coast, trading a few minutes’ travel for a noticeably lower price and more choice.

Parking and access in town

St Ives has notoriously tight parking and narrow streets in peak season — if you’re planning to use the lodge as a base for visiting the town regularly, check the park’s own transport links (the St Ives Bay Line train park-and-ride is popular locally) rather than assuming you’ll drive in and park easily.

Holiday letting demand

St Ives’ popularity with families and couples year-round makes it a strong letting market if that’s part of your plan, though as always, ask the specific park for their own occupancy and commission figures.
