Buying a brand new static caravan means choosing straight from a manufacturer’s current range, typically through an approved dealer or directly via a holiday park, rather than buying an existing unit secondhand.
What’s usually included
New caravan packages often include delivery and siting, but always confirm exactly what’s covered in the advertised price — decking, skirting, gas and electric connection and the first year’s site fees are sometimes included, sometimes charged separately.
New vs used: the real trade-off
A new caravan gives you the latest layout, insulation and finish with a full manufacturer’s warranty, but depreciates fastest in the first few years — much like a new car. A well-maintained used caravan a few years old can offer significantly better value if the very latest spec isn’t essential to you.
Choosing a park
The park you buy through matters as much as the caravan itself — site fees, season length and the park’s own facilities vary widely, so it’s worth comparing parks before finalising a specific new caravan model.
