A four-bedroom lodge is aimed squarely at larger families or those who want space for guests, typically sleeping 8-10 people across a mix of doubles, twins and bunk rooms.

Layout matters more than square footage

Two four-bedroom lodges of a similar size can feel very different depending on layout — look for a design where bedrooms are separated from the open-plan living space for better noise separation, and check whether bathrooms are en-suite or shared, which matters a lot with a full lodge of guests.

Running costs at this size

A bigger lodge means more to heat and furnish, so factor in site fees, utilities and any park service charge on top of the purchase price when comparing four-bedroom options against buying two smaller units or a three-bedroom model.

Resale and letting potential

Larger lodges are popular with sub-letting owners since bigger groups often book further ahead and pay a premium for space, so ask the park about their sub-letting scheme if that’s part of your plan.
